Aireys Inlet Recreation Infrastructure Strategy

Coomes Consulting has been engaged by Council to undertake the Aireys Inlet Recreation Infrastructure Strategy.

The project is jointly funded by Council and the Department for Victoria Communities via Sport & Recreation Victoria.

A Community Reference Group has been established to provide input into the project and oversee the community consultation and engagement components. The Reference Group is made up of various stakeholders groups and community members and was established following a public expression of interest process.

With the assistance of the Reference Group the project consultants, Coomes Consulting Pty Ltd have completed Stage 1 of the project brief.

Stage 1 includes an analysis of the recreation needs of the Aireys Inlet community and an assessment of the feasibility of developing the site on the corner of Gilbert Street and Boundary Road as an active recreation reserve.

The consultants have provided a progress report to the Council on Stage 1 of the project and Council has agreed to proceed with Stage 2 of the project.
