Surf Coast Arts and Culture Survey

The Surf Coast Shire wants to make decisions about future directions for art and culture.
To do this we need to know what you, the community, thinks about art activities, local history, community arts projects and what you might like to see happen in the future.

When we watch a movie, yell at the footy or doodle on a pad we are engaging in art.
Some of us are practitioners and paint, sing or break dance and some of us enjoy being in the audience.
Art makes us happy, entertains us, decorates and beautifies where we live and sometimes challenges us.

This questionnaire will inform Council about how art and culture affects you and where you live.

Initially, the Council is focusing on the shire's hinterland region to review the shire's current Arts Strategy and input into a plan for the future.

The Council is holding a series of public forums to hear your ideas for new or existing hinterland arts and cultural projects in Winchelsea, Deans Marsh and Moriac and their surrounding areas.

More information, about these opportunities and how you can be involved, will be in the local press and on the shire's website.
