
Permits to Burn
During the Declared Fire Danger Period open air burning is prohibited without a written Permit from the Municipal Fire Prevention Officer. (Penalties of up to $5,372 or 12 months imprisonment or BOTH can apply.)
Any landowner intending to apply for a Permit to Burn must do so on the prescribed form, available from Council offices or on the internet. Forms must be fully completed and signed prior to lodgment. A minimum of 4 working days is required for assessment prior to issue.
