
| Engineering/Infrastructure The Surf Coast Shire Infrastructure Department manages and maintains a network of infrastructure assets including local roads, stormwater drainage, footpaths, bicycle paths, car parks, bus shelters, bridges, street lights, recreation reserves, parks and community buildings. Infrastructure also manages domestic waste collection and landfills. Council has developed an Infrastructure Asset Management Policy to guide management of its assets. Council is constantly looking for ways to improve delivery of services to the community. Other assets within the Shire include arterial roads, water supply and sewerage, creeks and public transport are managed and maintained by government bodies and organisations including the Department of Infrastructure, Department of Sustainability and Environment, VicRoads, Barwon Water, Parks Victoria and public transport providers and service authorities. The foreshore along the coast is management by the Great Ocean Coast Committee.
