Council Meetings

Council Meetings are conducted on the fourth Wednesday of each month commencing at 7.00 pm, usually at the Surf Coast Shire Council Chambers, 25 Grossmans Road Torquay, Victoria.

Monthly meetings are open for the public to attend. You are invited to come and watch your council in action. The Council promote and encourage community participation in the governance of Council.

The Governance Manual has been developed to:

• Have a framework to assist the Surf Coast local government in the development and maintenance of good governance
• Provide its communities with a basis of understanding how Surf Coast governs and how communities can participate in its governance

The Local Law No. 2 - Meeting Procedure regulates the proceedure for meetings, election of Mayor and use of Common Seal.
