Pensioner Rate Rebate

Holders of a valid Pensioner Concession Card are entitled to a concession on their rates under the State Government's Pensioner Rate Assistance Scheme. Under this scheme you may be eligible for a rebate of up to $184.30 on your rates.

This only applies to eligible pensioners who live within the Surf Coast Shire. It does not apply to Health Care Cardholders.

To apply for this Concession please present your concession card to our Customer Service Staff or download an application form here. Applications to claim the pensioner rebate for 2008/09 can be made at any time during the financial year.
 
Please note that you must be a permanent resident of the property for which you are seeking the rebate.

Financial Hardship

Low income ratepayers and cardholders of a valid Pensioner Concession, Health Care, Commonwealth Seniors, Department of Veterans Affairs or Repatriation Card may qualify for rate assistance.   Ratepayers may apply to defer rate payments if experiencing financial hardship.
