Strategic Planning
The Surf Coast Shire Council is committed to ensuring the municipality is well planned to accommodate growth and development while maintaining its environmental values. This will be achieved through the establishment and review of integrated policies, developed through open communication with the community.
The Municipal Strategic Statement (MSS) of the Surf Coast Planning Scheme is the primary tool for espousing the Shire’s land use vision and outlines the objectives and strategies for achieving that vision. The MSS can be accessed through planning schemes online via the Department of Sustainability and Environment’s website at www.dse.vic.gov.au.
