Speak Out |
![]() |
The Surf Coast Shire held two ‘Speak Out’ sessions, one in Anglesea 14th October and a second at the Aireys Inlet school fair 4th November. Over two hundred citizens attended each Speak Out. The Speak Out was designed as a fun and interactive way to find out more about Shire services and provide input as to how the Shire can work with the Anglesea and Aireys Inlet communities to improve the services it offers.
The Speak Outs marked the launch of Local Area Planning in Anglesea and Aireys Inlet. Local Area Planning will commence in Deans Marsh, Moriac and Winchelsea in early 2007. Local Area Planning is a process which aims at empowering local areas and builds upon community strengths. If you enjoyed the day and want be involved in setting the scene for Anglesea and Aireys Inlet in years to come make sure you get involved in Local Area Planning.
The first Anglesea Local Area Planning gathering will take place Tuesday 28th November 2pm at the Angahook Café and Stores 119 Great Ocean Road Anglesea.
