Accredited Visitor Information Centres

There are two accredited Visitor Information Centres (VIC) in the Surf Coast region and a total of seven in the Geelong Otway region.

A full-time co-ordinator manages the day to day operation of each VIC. We encourage you to make contact with your local VIC to understand how it operates and the opportunities available to you.

An Accredited VIC handle all types of tourism enquiries from things to see and do, special events, itinerary planning and accommodation referrals.

An accredited VIC is identified though the blue& yellow ‘i’ symbol. Centres have been assessed and met all requirements by the Better Business Tourism Accreditation Program. Accredited VICs are open 9am-5pm, seven days a week, with trained staff and car-parking facilities.

Satellite Visitor Centres
There are two non-accredited Satellite Visitor Centres located within the Surf Coast Shire. Run solely by volunteers, these information outlets can provide local advice on things to see and do within the township.

Great Ocean Road Driving Tips

The Great Ocean Road is one of the major tourism icons in Australia.

The Torquay Golf Club marks the official start of the Great Ocean Road and the Surf Coast region is home to some of the most spectacular scenery along this world renowned ocean drive including Bells Beach, the home of Australian surfing.
