Anglesea Food Organics Pilot kicks off

Published on 12 December 2018

organics, recycling and landfill bins

Today (Wednesday 12 December) was the first weekly collection of food organics with garden organics in Anglesea. Thanks to everyone who put your kerbside organics bins out for collection today.

Remember: kerbside organics bins are now collected EVERY WEEK in Anglesea (and landfill now alternates fortnightly with recycling).

I forgot to put out the organics bin!

If you're in week 1 and you didn’t get your organics bin out, please call Council on 5261 0600 before 10:00 am Thursday 13 December (leave a message if it’s after hours). We will send a truck around in the afternoon on Thursday to collect it. This is a once-off extra collection to make sure your bins are picked up and to help make the transition smoother.

If you thought today was still landfill collection day and you have waste that can’t wait until next week’s collection, you can take it free of charge to Anglesea Transfer Station until Sunday.
