Proposed Road Deviation & Land Exchange – Portion of Main and Palmer Streets, Winchelsea
Section 207B (2A) and Clause 2(2) of Schedule 10 of the Local Government Act 1989.
The proposal is for a road exchange of Parcel A cross hatched and Parcel B hatched.
Areas are approximately:
Parcel A cross-hatched is 143m2 (road to be closed)
Parcel B hatched is 720m2 (road to be opened)
Why is Surf Coast Shire Council proposing the deviation and exchange?
- To exchange a disused portion of government road (Parcel A) which is fenced within 5 Main Street, Winchelsea for Parcel B comprising a portion of the title from 5 Main Street, Winchelsea currently used as roadway.
What changes and works are being proposed?
- If the exchange proceeds the 143m2 portion of Palmer Street would be transferred to the owners of 5 Main Street Winchelsea in exchange for 720m2 from Main Street Winchelsea to be transferred to Surf Coast Shire as Road.
In accordance with Section 223 of the Local Government Act, Council will consider any written submissions received by Thursday 29 November 2018.
