Council has sought community input to clearly map the current early years environment and to identify possible improvement opportunities.
The survey has now closed. Thanks to those who contributed feedback to support future early years planning, projects and developments, to benefit all Surf Coast families and children.
Your input will inform a publicly available report that will benefit Surf Coast families and children, and will also inform the upcoming development of the Municipal Early Years Plan.
We know that the early years of children’s lives have a profound impact on their development and future prospects in life. From birth to eight years is when children have the greatest opportunities to develop neural pathways for learning - and are also the most vulnerable to negative experiences. Research highlights the importance of systems working in partnership with families and communities, to achieve the best outcomes.
