Salt reduction grants for businesses

Food businesses can apply for grants of up to $25,000 to support projects to reduce salt content in food.
Food and Agribusiness Australia Limited (FIAL) in collaboration with VicHealth are offering support to businesses to reduce salt/sodium reduction in food. The support includes grant application assistance, connection to researchers and food technologists as well as matched funding of up to $25,000.
To be eligible, projects must have a salt reduction objective for a technical challenge which is not able to be solved with internal capabilities of the applicant organisation.
The business must also develop a clear commercialisation plan and path to market for the grant application. Successful projects must be able to be completed within 12 months.

Applications close on 30 December or until all grant funds are allocated.
