The Great Ocean Road region is known national and internationally as a spectacularly pristine environment with much to offer the many thousands of visitors who come to visit annually.
The Surf Coast is the official start of the Great Ocean Road and tourism is one of the major sectors of the local economy. In recognition of this, Council delivers a range of opportunities for local businesses to engage with the tourism market including:

Visitor Information Centres (VICs)
Council operates four Visitor Information Centres in the Surf Coast Shire region in Torquay, Lorne, Anglesea and Winchelsea. Our VICs play an important role in inspiring visitors to stay longer and experience more of what we have to offer. They assist around 250,000 people with visitor information each year.
Any tourism related business is welcome to enquire about promoting their business through our VICs. Commercially rated tourism businesses can apply to display a brochure for free at their local VIC. Opportunities also exist to promote your business in many of the region's VICs, through a membership with Great Ocean Road Regional Tourism.
Great Ocean Road Regional Tourism (GORRT)
Council has partnered with Great Ocean Road Regional Tourism (GORRT). The role of GORRT as the independent peak body for the Great Ocean Road region tourism sector is to develop a seamless visitor experience through collaboration to position the Great Ocean Road as Australia's foremost sustainable tourism region.
You can partner with GORRT to include your business in tourism marketing campaigns and services attracting visitors to our area. A range of packages are available to suit small to large business budgets.
