Casuarina Leadership Program
Applications for the 2022 program are now closed
The Casuarina Community Leadership Program works with budding community leaders to develop their unique knowledge, skills, care and connections enable them to work collaboratively with their communities to develop a community project or social enterprise.
The program provides emerging leaders with the opportunity to:

Progress a change they want to make in their community
-
Learn more about leadership and working with others in their community
-
Meet other people across the Surf Coast who are aiming to make change in their community
-
Get experience working with local government, and
-
Build your knowledge and understanding of First Nations culture

Participants should note that project work will be required outside of these session times
To be eligible for the program you must:
-
Live, work, study or volunteer in the Surf Coast Shire
-
Be 18 years or older* , and
-
Commit to attend at least eighty percent of the program sessions. (link to table above)

Participant applications will be assessed by a panel against the following criteria:

Demonstrated passion for driving community change and improvement. (35%)

Desired learning outcomes align to the program. (30%)

Diversity - Surf Coast Shire Council aims to ensure there is a diverse range of participants on the program, hence the applicant’s location, gender, cultural heritage, age, lived experience of disability and area of interest (such as social, cultural and environment) will be considered. (35%)
