Childhood immunisation sessions

Council’s Environmental Health Unit continues to provide free childhood immunisation sessions for all vaccines listed on the National Immunisation Schedule. However, due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, there are changes to the dates and times of the sessions, to implement additional health and safety measures.

Flu vaccinations for children

Vaccination against flu is the best way to protect your children. Children from 6 months to under 5 years of age will have access to free flu vaccines through Council’s childhood immunisation sessions. Children receiving their influenza vaccination for the first time require two doses of vaccine, spaced by a minimum of one month. Children who have been immunised against flu previously will only require one dose each year.
