Calendar competition

2018 Calendar on the beach

Council is now accepting submissions to the 2019 calendar competition!

All eligible work will be accepted and displayed at an exhibition in September.

Thirteen of the works will be reproduced for the calendar, with the winning artists receiving a cash prize and acknowledgment on the calendar.

Who's eligible?

Local artists (you're 'local' if you live or pay rates in Surf Coast Shire)

What can I submit?

Local artists can submit ONE original artwork for the opportunity of inclusion in the 2019 Council calendar.

Submit your work in one of three entry categories:

  • Open - all media will be accepted (including 2D, 3D, painting, ceramics, textile etc.)
  • Youth - up to 25 years. Young people are encouraged by the organisers to submit pieces highlighting their work, as selections will also be made from this special category.
  • Installed sculptural work (art which has been installed in public/private outdoor spaces).  If work is owned by a party other than the artist, BOTH parties must sign the entry form. Photographic/slide images will be accepted for this section only and uploaded on this form as a "jpg". Site visits may occur.

There is no theme this year so let your imagination run wild.

What's the selection process?

All entries will be on exhibition at Surf Coast Arts Space in Anglesea from 31 August to 16 September 2018.

Before the exhibition opens, a selection panel will choose 12 works to include in the calendar. A 13th work will be selected by people’s choice during the exhibition, and will be featured on the cover of the 2019 Calendar.

How do I register?

Download the Terms and Conditions and read before you register.

Use the entry form below to submit your work by 27 August 2018.
