Check your bin lids

Your landfill bin must have a bright red lid to ensure it will be emptied by our collection trucks. Landfill bins with dark green, burgundy, maroon or brown lids will not be emptied.

If your landfill bin does not have a bright red lid, contact us today and we will replace it for free:

- submit an online request

- call us on 5261 0600

- send us an email at info@surfcoast.vic.gov.au

Council's contractor cannot enter your property to exchange the bin lid, so your bin must be left on the kerbside. Contact us when you or a neighbour is available to put the bin out, and take it back inside
