Building Renewal Program

The building renewal program includes works undertaken on Council facilities from the Civic Building to sheds, shelters and everything in between.

Some of the works undertaken by the program include:

• Replacement of a whole building or structure, eg. Bus Shelter.
• Roof replacement
• Floor covering replacement
• Replacement of fit out items, eg. air conditioner.
• Re-wiring of buildings.

Below are some of the packages of works, but the while program is not listed as some works are small scale and done as audits are conducted.

Dates of works will be updated once they are confirmed.

Floor coverings

• Banyul Warri Fields Grant Pavilion, Torquay - replacement of carpet tiles. Expected completion June 2027.
• Winchelsea Kindergarten - replacement of office floor coverings. Expected completion June 2027.
• Anglesea McMillian Precinct Angair Office - replacement of floor coverings. Expected completion June 2027.
• Bellbrae Tennis Club rooms - replacement of floor coverings. Expected completion June 2027.

Painting

• Council Civic Building, 1 Merrijig Drive, Torquay - expected completion June 2027
• Eastern Reserve Community Hub, Winchelsea - Exterior painting - expected completion September 2026 
• Bob Pettitt Reserve, Playground Shelter, Jan Juc - Sand and stain - Completed July 2026
• Bob Pettitt Reserve, Skate Park shelter, Jan Juc - Sandblast and paint - Completed July 2026

Miscellaneous works

• Winchelsea Toy Library - Investigation and design of current building to assist with future renewal plans. Expected completion June 2027.
• Eastern reserve, Winchelsea, gate way and ticket boxes - Investigation and design of current building to assist with future renewal plans. Expected completion June 2027.
