Creative Lunchbox Session: Basics of Intellectual Property & Copyright
Next date: Thursday, 05 November 2026 | 01:00 PM
to 02:00 PM
Surf Coast Shire Arts Team has invited Alana Kushnir from Aurelian Lawyers & Advisers (formerly Guest Work Agency) to lead a one-hour online session on the basics of intellectual property for the Creative Lunchbox Sessions.
Alana will provide an overview of how intellectual property applies to creative practice, including what copyright and trademark laws protect, how rights are assigned or shared and what to consider when working with others or presenting your work publicly.
This session will focus on practical, foundational knowledge to help artists and creatives better understand their rights and responsibilities in relation to intellectual property and how it applies to their work.
Please note, this session is for general information only and does not constitute legal advice. If you have specific legal questions or require advice, you should seek independent legal advice from a qualified lawyer.
