Cr Rose Hodge is now serving her fifth term as Councillor and has been Mayor five times. She is also a three time member of the Local Government Mayoral Panel. She knows she will find local government as challenging, diverse and rewarding this year as it was in year one.

The COVID19 recovery is of the utmost importance to her - helping community and businesses get back to the way of life they once knew.

In this term Cr Hodge is looking forward to working with the arts community to establish a home at the Torquay Surf World complex and advocating for a new library and cultural centre in the future.

A long-time resident of Jan Juc, with her husband, Cr Hodge has three adult children. She is passionate about achieving an inclusive community; one of her sons has autism and she proudly serves on the All Abilities Advice Committee. She loves working with the community and is a past member of many local sport and kindergarten committees. She is presently serving her tenth year on the Torquay Community Enterprise board and is a proud Life Member of the Torquay Netball Club.
