Game on: Spring Creek Oval almost ready for first bounce

McCartney Oval at Spring Creek Reserve is nearing completion, and looking fantastic, after a redevelopment that started in October.

Torquay Tigers’ will host their first home game on 11 April at the upgraded community facility.

The oval has been completely rebuilt with improved drainage, irrigation and a new subsurface to deliver a safer and more resilient playing surface.

Final works are now underway, including shelters, seating, bollards and goal posts being installed around the ground.

The fences will stay up a bit longer while the grass establishes itself, but we need your help. Please stay off the grass so it is in the best possible shape ahead of the Tiger’s first home game of the season.
