Celebrate Children’s Week at events in Torquay and Winchelsea

Families are invited to celebrate Children’s Week at events in Torquay and Winchelsea, with various activities for youngsters to enjoy.
The events – which are free to attend – will be held:
There will be interactive stalls, hands-on crafts, and a Science Kidz show in Torquay.
In Winchelsea, there will be nature play, science experiments, creative craft and more.
Councillor Joel Grist said both events would be a fun outing for families.
“I know parents and grandparents are often on the lookout for different activities to keep the kids entertained and most importantly, have some fun,” Cr Grist said.
“I encourage people to come along, enjoy the outdoors, and meet other people while doing so.”
The Children’s Week celebrations align with Council’s goal of more opportunities for meaningful social connection.
Attendees are asked to bring their own water bottle, hat and sunscreen.
The events are presented by Surf Coast Shire Council and local early years services, in partnership with the Victorian Government.
Children’s Week is a national celebration held 24 October to 1 November. It recognises the talents, skills, achievements and rights of children.
