Our annual Local Legends program recognises and celebrates people having a positive impact in our community.

Local Legends Recipients 2024

The 2024 Local Legends recipients include a Little Aths legend, a social justice and inclusion advocate, a teacher with a passion for the early years, a surfing therapy mentor and a mental health advocate/artist.

Local Legends Recipients 2023

The 2023 Local Legends award winners include a Rotary Club member, a Taylor Park BFF, a dad committed to helping other's in memory of his daughter, a young climate champion, a woman protecting vulnerable locals and reducing food waste, and a volunteer-of-all-trades passionate about his close-knit community.

Local Legends Recipients 2022

The 2022 Local Legends award winners include a hero in the world of playgroups, an ocean swimming guide, the original rubbish ranger, a musician sharing the love with everyone, a surfer working to clean up the seas, and an advocate of equality.

Local Legends Recipients 2021

The 2021 Local Legends include an inspirational physiotherapist, a group of teenaged eco-warriors, a man who loves a chat, a Torquay trio serving those who are less-fortunate, a photographer and a dancer, passionate volunteers of all ages, an 11-year old hero, and more.
