Lorne Transfer Station upgrade

Works will re commence to complete the Lorne Transfer Station upgrade, after contractual delays stopped work on site.

The transfer station will be operating as normal.

Works are expected to be completed towards the end of 2026.

Upgrading the Lorne Transfer station to make the site safer, more user friendly and increase resource recovery options.

The site upgrade will include:

Increase of the number of bulk bins from three to six with shelter for unloading areas.
The green waste drop off area will be sealed and formalised.
Roads will be reconstructed.
A new gatehouse will be installed, with increased safety for staff.
Improvements to site security.

Construction has commenced. Please be mindful of changed traffic flows on site and follow signs.
