Upgrading the Lorne Transfer station to make the site safer, more user friendly and increase resource recovery options.

The site upgrade will include:

  • Increase of the number of bulk bins from three to six with shelter for unloading areas.
  • The green waste drop off area will be sealed and formalised.
  • Roads will be reconstructed.
  • A new gatehouse will be installed, with increased safety for staff.
  • Improvements to site security.

Construction has commenced. Please be mindful of changed traffic flows on site and follow signs.
