Planning is underway to install two raised pedestrian (wombat) crossings on Gosney Street, Winchelsea.

These road safety works will slow vehicles down and provide two safe crossing points for all road users.

Works will include:

  • Construction of a raised pedestrian (wombat) crossing between the primary school and the hospital.
  • Construction of a raised pedestrian (wombat) crossing at the intersection of Princes Highway.
  • Associated line marking, lighting and works to connect the new crossings to the shared path network.

The timeline for works will be shared with the community when it is developed.

These works are funded through the Victorian Government Safer Local Roads and Streets program.
