Complaints about food businesses
Council's Environmental Health Officers investigate food safety complaints made about businesses that trade within the Surf Coast Shire.
Examples of such complaints include:
- Food poisoning
- Unclean food business
- Unhygienic food handling practices
- Foreign object found in food
- Unsatisfactory food labelling
- Unsatisfactory allergen management controls
When reporting a complaint the following information is requested:
- Name and address of business
- Date and time of incident
- Other relevant details such as food consumed, description of person who served you and/or any food poisoning symptoms experienced
