2026 Creative Initiative Project

Surf Coast Shire Arts Team is seeking proposals from creatives to develop a new community arts project.

Surf Coast Shire is looking for a creative or a team of creatives to lead a community arts project in 2026.

This is an opportunity to work with local people to create a shared creative outcome that reflects the stories, identity and character of the Surf Coast.

The Arts Development Team are looking for a creative/s who:

  • Have a strong creative practice
  • Have experience working with communities
  • Can manage a project and work collaboratively
  • Can deliver within budget and timeframe

The successful creative/s will:

  • Work with the community to develop a creative project
  • Facilitate engagement activities or workshops
  • Deliver a final artistic outcome
  • Manage the project from start to finish with support from our Arts Team

  • A short project idea (max 500 words)
  • Description on how you will work with the community (max 500 words)
  • Draft high-level budget breakdown
  • Draft project timeline
  • CV and examples of your work
  • Two referees
