The Weaverbirds meet around Joy Beeby’s kitchen table each Monday morning. As they weave with their hands, conversations flow, moving between their creative practice and reflections on family, community and the wider world.
Each finished piece carries its own story.
These stories of weaving explore:
- finding, collecting, sharing and recycling materials
- preparing materials
- matching materials with ideas
- weaving techniques and processes
- choices around colour, shape, size and grouping
- working together, where both weaver and materials shape final artworks.
