David Rossiter : In Search of Order and The Rajasthan Paintings

David Rossiter’s In Search of Order, his 20th solo exhibition and second at Hoop Gallery, brings together over three decades of practice shaped by both local and international experience.

Drawing on daily life in Torquay alongside time spent in India, Rossiter’s work explores the space between observation and imagination.

Beginning with abstract forms, his paintings evolve into biomorphic shapes and unexpected narratives, guided by the concept of pareidolia—the human tendency to find meaning within chaos.

Through playful use of colour and form, Rossiter creates parallel worlds that blur the line between reality and fantasy. In Search of Order invites viewers to discover their own interpretations within these shifting, imaginative landscapes.

This is a FREE exhibition held at HOOP Gallery, come along and celebrate the opening of this exhibition on Friday 1st May from 6-8pm.
