With limited pedestrian infrastructure within Anglesea, works have started to make walking and cycling safer by building four raised pedestrian (wombat) crossings at:

  • Noble street,
  • River Reserve Road,
  • Cameron Road and
  • Murray Street.

The majority of roads in Anglesea were originally constructed with limited foot paths.

These works are funded through the Safe Local Roads and Streets Program. This program is funded by the Department of Transport and Planning, in partnership with the Transport Accident Commission to support the development and delivery of road infrastructure projects on local roads.
