Bridge renewal

Bridge renewal works include works to road bridges, major culverts and pedestrian bridges. 

The type of works that may be included in this program includes:

• Replacement of a whole bridge or structure.
• Re-decking a bridge.
• Bridge or road abutment works.
• Inspections, audits or design of bridges.
• Bridge railing repairs or replacements.

Below are some of the packages of works we are working on this year. Other smaller works not listed here may be undertaken as required.

All works are at different stages of planning and delivery. This page will be updated with the date of works once they are confirmed. 

Winchelsea-Deans Marsh Road, Retreat Creek Bridge, Bambra

Works - Complete detailed design for future renewal works of the Retreat Creek Road bridge.

Once complete these designs will be used for future construction works.

Expected completion March 2027. 

2026/2027 miscellaneous works

• Pennyroyal Station Road, Pennyroyal Creek bridge, Pennyroyal - Level 3 bridge inspection - detailed, specialist structural inspection undertaken by a bridge or structural engineer.
• Pennyroyal Valley Road, Pennyroyal Creek bridge, Pennyroyal - deck tightening and replacement of planks.
• Gherang Road, Gherang - end wall repair.
• Nobles Road, Modewarre, Thompson Creek - concrete patch repairs.
