Fencing renewal

The fencing renewal program covers the replacement or renewal of fencing assets on Council's reserves or facilities.

Fencing on boundaries between private land, new developments, land managed by other authorities like GORCAPA and council land are managed as per the Fencing on boundaries between public and private land policy.

Works can include:

  • Replacement or renewal of chain mesh fences around tennis courts, netball courts or ovals.
  • Renewal of post and wire or rabbit proof fences.
  • Bollard and h-barrier replacement.
  • Timber paling fences.

Below are some of the packages of works we are working on this year. Other smaller works not listed here may be undertaken as required.

All works are at different stages of planning and delivery. This page will be updated with the date of works once they are confirmed. 

Rural fencing renewal

Expected completion - December 2026

  • Mount Moriac Recreation Reserve, Mount Moriac - Replacement of post and wire fence with rabbit proof fence (southwest reserve boundary fence).
  • Connewarre Reserve, Connewarre - Post and wire fence renewal (northern side of oval, near access road).
  • Bob Pettitt Reserve, Jan Juc - Oval fence renewal.
