Gnarwarre culvert (drain) replacement

The culvert (drain) beneath Gnarwarre Road, Gnarwarre was severely damaged during the storms of October 2022. During these storms the culvert was blocked and damaged and resulted in part of the surrounding embankment being washed away.

The road embankment and culvert under were widened and extended during 2020.

Works to repair the culvert include:

  • Removal of storm debris
  • Re-placement of embankment filling
  • Rock beaching
  • Reinstatement of fencing, top soil and grass. 
Works are expected to be completed by the end of the year.
