Bells Beach Surfing Recreational Reserve

bells_beach.jpg

Just south of Torquay take the turn off to Bells Beach where the ocean views are great in any weather. The annual Rip Curl Pro surfing event is held here every Easter, and spring is the best time to see the wildflowers in the cliff top heathlands. The Surf Coast Walk also passes through this reserve. Great views of Bells beach and Winki Pop.

Dogs at Bells Beach – they need to be on a leash

Bells Beach is home to vulnerable wildlife such as the ground dwelling Rufous Bristlebird, and the adjoining sandy beach is part of the Point Addis Marine National Park. Dogs are only allowed in the Bells Beach Surfing Recreation Reserve if they are on a leash. Penalties apply if you have an off-leash dog in the reserve.
