Healthy, Wealthy and Wise road show supports positive ageing
Published on 02 February 2026
The Healthy, Wealthy and Wise Coastal Road Show on Wednesday 18 March 2026 at the Anglesea Memorial Hall will have information, stalls and presentations to help people stay active, connected and informed.
The road show is part of Council’s Positive Ageing Program and brings together a range of local services, community groups and experts to share practical information and support on topics including mental health, general health and well-being, social connections, financial assistance, scam awareness, digital banking and dementia.
Cr Mike Bodsworth said the event makes important information easy to access in a friendly community setting.
“We know staying connected and informed plays a big role in living and ageing well, and this event is a great opportunity for community members to ask questions, have conversations and discover what support is available locally,” he said.
This event is being held for the second time following the success of the inaugural roadshow in Winchelsea in 2025. It forms part of Surf Coast Shire Council’s Positive Ageing Program and reflects Council’s commitment to supporting people of all ages to live a quality, engaged and meaningful life, regardless of ability or life stage.
The program for the day includes:
- 9.30am – Community groups and service introductions
- 10.15am – Jules Haddock from The Anxious Bird
- 11am – SCAM Man AI presentation
- 12.30pm – 2pm – Discussion panel of financial experts
There will also be information and stalls from Dementia Australia, Lifeline, Ambulance Victoria, Red Cross, Anglesea Community House, Angair, Repair Café, Surf Coast Anglesea Probus Inc, Anglesea Men’s Shed, Anglesea Pharmacy, Anglesea Medical, Community Bank Anglesea, and Rural Financial Counselling Service Victoria West.
“We want people to feel comfortable coming along, having a chat and picking up information that could really make a difference in their lives,” said Cr Bodsworth.
“There will be all-day grazing, show bags, raffles and giveaways, so it’s also a fun and social day out.”
