Rice Nature Reserve is located alongside Thompson Creek. Great picnic spot with views of the water.
Many waterbirds and other wildlife live in or visit Rice Nature Reserve. Young ducklings and swamphens spend a lot of time on the ground and may be disturbed or killed by off-leash dogs.
Snakes such as Eastern Browns and Lowland Copperheads are also regularly seen in the reserve.
