An eventful grants program set to open

Event organisers are invited to apply for Surf Coast Shire Council’s Event Grants Program, with successful recipients to contribute to the positive impact of local events.

Grants are available for events to be held between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2024. There are three categories:

  • Community Events: grants up to $3,000.
  • Boutique, Creative and Special Focus Events: grants up to $7,500.
  • Tourism Events: grants up to $10,000.

Councillor Libby Stapleton encouraged event organisers to consider applying for a grant.

“Whether your event is big or small, we know that funding assistance is welcomed,” she said.

“Council is pleased to offer this annual grants program, to support our events calendar which brings significant economic and social benefits. It also showcases our stunning natural environment.

“From festivals to frisbee championships, to trail runs, cycling, stargazing and concerts - last year’s program supported a wide range of events. I’m looking forward to seeing the diversity of applications in the upcoming round.”
