Book now for business workshop in Torquay

Local business owners seeking expert advice on how to unlock their next stage of growth are invited to a workshop in Torquay, as part of Council’s Better Business Skills series.

Experienced mentor and consultant Adrian Jobson will present the workshop at Surf Coast Shire Council Chambers on Thursday 3 September. There is no cost to attend.

Adrian has spent nearly three decades sitting across the table from business owners, including as a CEO and board director. His interactive session will provide attendees with a clear vision for their next phase of growth; insights into what’s driving or blocking progress; and ideas that can be applied immediately.

Deputy Mayor Cr Tony Phelps encouraged interested people to sign up for the workshop, titled ‘Turning Point: finding your path to growth’.

“Although the workshop is aimed at established business owners, it will benefit anyone looking to strengthen their business, explore new opportunities, or gain practical ideas to drive growth,” he said.

“Business operators are an integral part of our community.

“As a Council, we can help them by addressing barriers to support innovation, economic growth, and job creation. Hosting events like these is one way to do that.

“There will also be a chance to network with other business owners and share ideas and challenges.”

Meanwhile, the Small Business Bus will visit Winchelsea Shire Hall on Wednesday 9 September.

Small business owners and sole traders can book in for 45-minute confidential chats to receive tailored advice and financial and wellbeing support from trained experts. The bus is an initiative of Business Victoria.

Also at Winchelsea Shire Hall on 9 September, local business operators are invited to a social media and content marketing workshop from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Spots are limited.
