Council Elections 2020 - Enrolment Forms
A general election for Surf Coast Shire Council is being held on 24 October this year. The election will be run as a postal vote. This page provides enrolment forms for different eligibility options. Forms must be received by Council by 4pm Friday 28 August 2020.
These forms can be used by voters who are not enrolled on the general electoral role in Surf Coast Shire but are still eligible to vote in the Council election due to property ownership or occupancy in Surf Coast Shire.
Owner ratepayer - variation of enrolled owners
This form(DOCX, 25KB) may be used where a rateable property is jointly owned by more than two people and the owners wish to change which two owners are enrolled to vote in council elections.
Owner ratepayer - application for enrolment
If you are an owner of rateable property in a council area, you may use this form(DOCX, 21KB) to apply to be on the council voters’ roll.
Occupier ratepayer - application for enrolment
If you are an occupier of a rateable property and you are required to pay council rates for the property (either directly to the Council or as a condition of your lease) you may apply for enrolment on the council voters’ roll with this form(DOCX, 21KB).
Corporation owner - appointment of voting representative
This form(DOCX, 23KB) may be used by a corporation that is an owner of rateable property in the council area to appoint a person to be the corporation’s voting representative for council elections.
Corporation occupier - appointment of voting representative
This form(DOCX, 23KB) may be used by a corporation that is an occupier of rateable property in the council area, and which is liable to pay for councils rates for that property, to appoint a person to be the corporation’s voting representative for council elections.
