Spring Valley Bike Park upgrade

Spring Creek Bike Park - Sept26 (8).JPG

We are upgrading the Spring Valley Bike Park to include more trails, with options for riders to progress from easy to intermediate and difficult tracks.

The bike park has been operating for more than 10 years. While we have completed some small upgrades over this time, the park has remained largely unchanged since it was first built.

We have worked with local riders and Australian mountain bike trail design company World Trail to develop a concept plan to guide the redevelopment.

The upgrade will deliver nine trails designed to support rider skill progression and creativity, with trail difficulty increasing progressively across the site.

Once complete there will be three easy trails, four intermediate trails, and two difficult trails.

The new trials will include berms, rollers, table tops and hip jumps, creating a fun, engaging and dynamic experience for riders of all levels.

Construction timing:

Works will start in mid October and are expected to be complete by late December.

Works will include:

  • Fencing off the site to create a safe work area.
  • Establishing the site including service relocation, managing access requirements, erosion and sediment controls and removing and storing existing infrastructure and signage.
  • Levelling the existing site, including removal of vegetation approved under the planning permit.
  • Sourcing clean fill for jump construction in accordance with technical requirements.
  • Constructing new jumps, including building the base course for each trail, compacting materials and shaping the new features.
  • Reinstalling signage and stored infrastructure.
  • Testing the new jumps and trails.
  • Site restoration and opening of new bike park.

These works are part of Council's public open space improvement works.
