In recent years, Council has sought detailed feedback and input from Surf Coast communities and stakeholders around their experience, expectations and preferences relating to Council’s community engagement processes.

This existing community input has been reviewed and used to refine an updated draft Community Engagement Policy document:

  • Communications and Community Engagement Strategy (2021 & 2022)

The development of this strategy included two detailed phases of community engagement during 2021 and 2022. YOu can read the community feedback and input here: Engagement Findings Report - Communications and Community Engagement Strategy 2022-25(PDF, 239KB)

  • People Place Future (2021)

The People Place Future Community Panel was made up of a representative group of community members from across the Shire. Working together over a series of workshops, the Panel deliberated on many local issues and compiled a report to inform the Council Plan, including a community vision.
