Community Asset Committees manage nominated halls and recreation reserves on behalf of Council, and their members also play a significant role in maintaining and promoting the use of these community facilities.

Committee member responsibilities might include things like:

  • Attending scheduled committee meetings
  • Completing tasks relating to the operation and maintenance of the facility
  • Identifying potential improvements for the facility
  • Promoting community use of the facility

There are eight dedicated Community Asset Committees in the shire.
