About this grant
Council values the knowledge, skills and motivation people have to take action on ideas that contribute to a thriving Surf Coast Shire community and environment.
The Community Initiatives Grants: Quick Response contribute funds towards community-led projects that respond to current opportunities and/or needs.
This may include, for example, projects that increase social connection, inclusion, health, wellbeing, safety, community arts, cultural or environmental outcomes, and/or upskill local volunteers.
Council Plan 2021-2025 provides some information and food for thought on these topics (and others).
Applications are assessed against the grant criteria outlined in the guidelines by a panel of Council Officers.
The highest scoring projects will be fully funded and projects that are assessed with a moderate score may be considered for partial funding.
It is a requirement that all successful grant applications align with the Surf Coast Shire Council Health and Wellbeing Plan.
