Small Grants Program
The Small Grants program supports community group projects and initiatives by encouraging development of project ideas and improvement of services in Surf Coast Shire.
Funds can be provided for projects and activities in these categories:
- Community initiatives
- Culture and arts
- Recreation and leisure

The Small Grants program has two rounds of funding a year – March and September
Small Grants Guidelines(PDF, 170KB)
These guidelines outline the program objectives, including the assessment criteria aligned to health and wellbeing priorities and community benefit. The guidelines detail applicant and project proposal eligibility, as well as funding and reporting requirements.

Small Grants Example Budget(PDF, 94KB)
This provides an example budget demonstrating income, expenses and in-kind contribution.
Successful applicants must complete an online Small Grants Project Acquittal Report within one year of funding. Community groups will not be considered eligible for future funding if the report has not been completed within this time frame.
