53 Hesse Street, Winchelsea (Known as ADASS House)

In accordance with Section 189(2)(a) of the Local Government Act 1989, Council at its 25 June 2019 confidential meeting declared its intention to, amongst other things:

  1. Determines that 53 Hesse Street, Winchelsea, is surplus to Council’s anticipated future needs.

  2. Accordingly determines it is appropriate to sell the property by direct sale to Hesse Rural Health to ensure Hesse Rural Health has ownership of the property and can continue to provide this important service to the community.

  3. Issues a public notice of intention to sell the property and consider public submissions in accordance with Section 189 and 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.

Council now invites submissions under Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.  Council will consider any written submissions about the proposal that are received by 5pm on Tuesday 6 August 2019.  Submissions should be forwarded to:

Any person who has made a written submission to Council and requested that he or she be heard in support of their written submission, is entitled to appear in person, or by a person acting on his or her behalf, before a meeting of Council’s Hearing of Submissions Committee at a date and time to be fixed.
