The Surf Coast Shire has developed a number of skate facilities on sites throughout the shire. Council recognises the value and importance of providing facilities for young people and aims to:

  • provide skate facilities that are safe, original and innovative in design, that will challenge users and allow them to increase their skills
  • upgrade existing facilities and develope new facilities in key areas. is an internet site that identifies the location of skate facilities within Australia and rates them from 1 to 5.

Skate parks within Surf Coast Shire

Aireys Inlet Skate Park

Location: Corner Inlet Crescent and Great Ocean Road, Aireys Inlet
Elements: 1/4 pipe, flat bank, pyramid and spine ramp


Anglesea Skate Park

Location: Lions Park, Corner Cameron Road and Great Ocean Road, Anglesea
Elements: Concrete mini four-foot-high with small flat free skating area


Connewarre Skate Park

Location: Corner Randles Road and Bluestone School Road, Connewarre
Elements: Small concrete park with a flat bank, quarter and small fun box in the middle


Deans Marsh Skate Park

Location: 10 Pennyroyal Valley Road, Deans Marsh
Elements: 1/4 pipe, flat bank, fun box and ledge, grind rail and 90 degree bowl


Lorne Skate Park

Location: 81 Mountjoy Parade, Lorne
Elements: Skatepark with street course and deep and shallow bowl


Moriac Skate Park

Location: 830 Hendy Main Road, Moriac
Elements: 1/4 pipe, ramp bank, two manual pads and a grinding rail


Torquay Jan Juc skate parks

Djila Tjarri Skate Zone
Location: Corner Merrijig Drive and Wadawurrung Way, Torquay
Elements: Street (skate plaza style) and transitional (vertical style) facilities. Skate bowl - starts at seven feet deep and is 12 feet at its deepest. Plaza-style street skating - parking block, dual handrails, box section flat top rail, banked staging sections.

Jan Juc Skate Park
Location: 87 Sunset Strip, Jan Juc
Elements: Small skatepark with flat bank, small box, flat bar and a three-foot quarter at the other end.


Torquay Skate Park
Location: 79 Beach Road, Torquay
Elements: 1/4 pipe, fun box, grind rails and wedge ramps, six-foot and eight-foot bowls


Winchelsea Skate Park

Location: Corner Princes Highway and Hesse Street Winchelsea (next to community house)
Elements: Small concrete park. Small quarters up each end with small rail and flat bank in the middle
